New/Transfer Employee “Onboarding” in Workday to Produce an LAwell Benefits Offer.

ONBOARDING

Newly hired City employees and Transfers from the Department of Water and Power are required to complete the certain actions in the City’s Workday system as part of their ‘onboarding’ process.

To receive an LAwell Program benefits offer, you must complete new employee onboarding in Workday and meet all LAwell Program eligibility requirements.

Follow the instructions below to complete these actions and ensure your offer of LAwell benefits.

After completion of the actions, your data submission will be reviewed by your Human Resources personnel. If approved, it will be passed to the LAwell system in one to two working days. LAwell Benefit offers are made once each pay period, typically around the payday in which you have met all eligibility requirements. To ensure that your benefits offer is timely, complete your 'onboarding' steps in Workday by the Wednesday of the week before your first paycheck.

Instructions

Log into your Workday in one of the following ways:

Go to your Workday inbox by clicking the inbox icon in the upper right corner of your account, as shown below.

Click on the action item in your inbox to provide or update your address and date of birth.

After completing the update to your personal and contact information as noted. Click the “Refresh” button to trigger the next step.

After “Refreshing”, click the “Edit Government IDs” action item in your inbox and enter the required information

Click submit. The step is not completed until you submit your data and receive a confirmation screen, as seen below.

Step 3: Update Your Personal Information and Contact

Step 4: Click Submit
